Important Update Regarding Hirth Engines

For over a year, we’ve been promoting Hirth engines and supporting customers who wanted to purchase engines through us.

Unfortunately, after extensive efforts to make this relationship work, we’ve reached the point where we can no longer continue. Communication has been consistently poor, logistics have been unreliable, pricing and delivery into the U.S. has not been achievable at a reasonable level, and the dealer program terms have repeatedly changed from what was originally agreed upon.

In addition, it has become clear that Hirth’s current priorities are not aligned with the civil ultralight aviation market. Their focus appears to be centered on the drone market and government/military contracts, and they have indicated that supporting the ultralight builder community is not a priority.

Because of these factors, we are officially severing ties with Hirth and will no longer be offering Hirth engines or parts at this time.

I cannot, in good conscience, accept customer payments while working with a company that cannot communicate reliably, deliver consistently, or honor a stable dealer agreement.

We know this is disappointing, especially with limited engine options available for builders. If Hirth’s operating standards and market focus change in the future, we are open to revisiting this decision. But for now, we are closing the door.
